Edit an Existing Order

Once you have selected a particular order from the "List of Orders," you will be able to view all of the relevant information associated with it as well as make the changes needed to keep it as up-to-date as possible.

Update Status:
In order to update the order's status to reflect the most recent developments, simply select the desired status from the drop-down menu labeled "Order Status" and click on "Update Status" - this may show as a blank square on some screens like in the below screenshot).

E-mail Sending:
In order to send an email to the customer who placed the order, for instance, to confirm that the order has been successfully received or to provide a copy of the invoice, simply select the desired email template from the drop-down menu highlighted in orange below, and click on "Send by E-mail".

The desired email template will be automatically filled in with the specifics of the customer and order in question, and then sent to the email address listed in the customer's details. You can even add some custom message or change the email address of where to send the confirmation to.

Edit Shipping/Billing Address and/or Shipping Method:
In order to edit the address to which the ordered product(s) will be sent, simply click on the "Edit" icon within the "Shipping Address" field and modify the address as desired. The same can be done for the billing address, to which the invoice for the order will be sent.

In order to change the method by which the product and invoice will be sent to these addresses, you can click on the "Edit" icon in the "Shipping Method" field, and from the available options, specified within the module's Setup, select the desired method of shipment. If you do not see a shipping option, check your Shipping methods' setup under Ecommerce > Setup > Shipping Methods.

Jump to CRM:
By clicking on the customer's name, you can view the customer's complete profile within the CRM (Contact Relationship Management) system. Should you wish to modify any of the customer's information, such as his/her name or contact details, this can be done here, within the CRM profile, and the order will be updated to reflect the changes made.

View Invoice:
In order to view the current invoice for the order, click the invoice number.

Unless the specifics of the order are altered, the invoice will be sent to the billing address specified. Should you wish to make modifications to the invoice before it is released, this can be done by either clicking on the "Edit" icon and changing the order's details as desired or by clicking on the "Add Another Product" icon and selecting another product to include in the order.  See here on how to add more items to an order/invoice

Create New Payment: See the Invoice section  on how to add a new payment.

Create New Shipment: In order to create a new shipment, to keep the order's profile up-to-date with the most recent developments in the delivery status of the ordered product(s), simply click on the "Create New Shipment" icon in the upper right-hand corner of the "Shipments" table.

In the window that appears you can specify all the details of the shipment, such as the date on which it was made, the method (for which the available options are determined in the module's Setup), the tracking number, and how many of the ordered product(s) the shipment involves.

In addition, you can specify whether or not you would like the customer to be informed that the shipment has been made by checking the appropriate box.

Should you wish to view, modify, add or remove existing shipments, this can be done as well, by simply clicking on the appropriate icons within the desired shipment's row of the "Shipments" table ( , , and respectively).

Add New Affiliate Sales:
In order to add an affiliate bonus/discount to the order, should the customer be an affiliate of your business, simply click on the "Add New" icon in the "Affiliate Sales For This Order" table.

In the window that appears, use the drop-down menu to select the particular affiliate to whom the order is connected (the list of affiliates is determined in the module's "Affiliates" section).

You can then enter the amount of money that you would like the customer to be discounted and any other notes that you may wish to include, before clicking "Save."

Should you wish to edit the affiliate details at any point, simply click on the appropriate "Edit" icon within the "Affiliate Sales For This Order" table and alter the information as you wish. 

Add Ordered Items:

Edit Ordered Items:
Should you desire to edit the details of the products ordered at some point, you can click on the "Edit" icon in the upper right-hand corner of the "Ordered Items" table.

You will then be free to alter the number of items of each product ordered, as well as price details, such as the shipping cost, taxes, and the unit price of each product.

Once you have modified the order's various details as desired, just click on the "Update Order" at the bottom of the screen, and the system will be brought up-to-date with the changes made. If you wish to have the same changes made to the Invoice, then be sure to select "Adjust an existing invoice" from the popup option that shows after you hit "Save".
