Adding Social Media Icons to Your Website

The system allows users to take the embed codes from social media sites and add them to the website through the "Source" editor. If the goal is to add the links to the header or footer, then those can be made through the Designer module as that's where the templates are located.

There are no preset logos of the social media icons, so you will need to upload them to the file manager and link them to the template/section where you'd like them to be shown.

Other than this, you may consider using a third-party widget such as AddThis to link your website to your social media profiles. See here for more.

Is it possible to have social icon links open in an app on mobile phones?

There is no way to check if a certain app (Twitter, FB) is installed on a user's device. The browser does not allow such a function for security reasons. Even if this was somehow done, it would cause warning popup messages for a vast majority of browsers.
